PayMatters policy regarding The Bribery Act

06/13/2011 - 00:00

The Bribery Act comes into force from 1st July 2011 and below are how PayMatters Umbrella Company are planning to adhere to its requirements in respect of incentives we currently pay to help generate recruitment agency referrals:

1. No vouchers, rebates, gifts or entertaining will be issued or paid to Recruitment Agencies or Consultants where we have been notified by the management of the agency that no such incentives are allowed.

2. Where we are allowed and do make payments to an individual consultant then all such payments will be made through the agency. As with our current policy no payments will be made to an address other than the agency office address.

3. To help police this internally all voucher distributions will be controlled by our Accounts Department.

4. PayMatters have a written policy and this is included in staff training. Any non-compliance will be treated as gross misconduct.

If you are a recruitment agency worried about The Bribery Act among our allowable incentives is a rebate scheme paid directly to the agency.
