Married Couples Tax Allowances

Good news for married couples and qualifying Civil Partnerships is that from 6th April 2015 they may be able to claim additional tax relief in respect of their partners unused tax allowance.
Basically if your earnings are less than the Basic Rate threshold (£10,600) you can transfer up to £1,060 of your personal allowance to your partner giving maximum relief in 2015/2016 of £212 per year.
