Reports suggest HMRC have written to 35,000 ebay traders to confirm their tax status.

Many ebay trader are also worried by the introudction this month of HMRC's IR35 Business Test which could suggest that many are potentially at risk from an IR35 review.

If you are an ebay trader you should regsiter with HMRC for tax purposes. Historically many ebay traders have registered as self-employed but many are now considering registering as limited companies instead.

Often being a limited company can offer ebay traders additional benefits such as being able to benefit from trade discounts from suppliers.
