How will The Bribery Act affect relations between Recruitment Agents and Umbrella Companies when the Umbrella Company is paying a recruitment consultant for referrals?

Our interpretation of The Bribery Act is if you're paying someone to do something they shouldn't be doing then this is wrong (and the consequences can be a criminal record including imprisionment!).

The key then is if a Recruitment Agency has said our consultants can't refer to Umbrella Companies but their consultants are still offered vouchers then this would be wrong.

However in our opinion there would be nothing wrong with offering consultants vouchers for referrals as long as this is approved by their company.
