Neil joined us in October having been Operations Finance Manager for one of the largest Employment Services Providers in the UK which deals with over 8,000 contractors and 5,000 contractor companies. He brings this experience to the role along with over 25 years managerial experience in the Finance and IT sector. Neil oversees all operations on a day to day basis along with strategic planning and directing the development of the Portal.

Lucy Carter
Accountancy Services Manager

Lucy qualified as a chartered, certified accountant in 2011, and was most recently admitted into Fellowship by the ACCA. She has been working with both small and medium sized businesses and individuals for the past 8 years, providing accountancy services ranging from day to day bookkeeping to insolvency. She enjoys looking at all commercial aspects of a business and helping assist it to grow and flourish. Lucy is a self confessed foodie who enjoys nothing more than visiting a good eaterie with family and friends.

Here at Umbrella Accountants we understand that Accountancy is not the easiest or most interesting topic to deal with so we make sure we are there for you every step of the way. The team will speak to you once you've completed your sales call and from that point on we ensure that you have the information you need, when you need it.

With a dedicated customer service team supporting your assigned personal accountant and their assistant there's always someone on hand to answer your queries over the phone or email. We have partnered with FreeAgent as an intuitive and straightforward online portal that we support as a practice along with all the usual day to day accounts / contractor queries.

At Umbrella our one major objective is to ensure that all of our customers enjoy a smooth and trouble-free service whilst using our Umbrella payroll service.   To achieve this we employ a team of friendly, experienced and highly trained account managers to look after you.  The staff come from many and varied backgrounds but share a common theme; that they have highly developed people skills and believe in our common goal.

Peter has been with Umbrella since the company started.  His previous experience of providing customer services comes from 20+ years in the Public Sector and a similar role with another major supplier of contractor solutions.  His responsibility is for the Customer Services and Welcome teams.

Emma Alberti

Emma joined the company in 2010 starting as an Account Manager, and quickly progressed to become a Senior Member within the team.  Emma manages the Welcome Team and is responsible for the processes which assist in the induction of new customers. Emma has over 10 years experience within the customer service and recruitment industry. In her spare time Emma enjoys snowboarding and pottering around in her classic Fiat 500.

Stacey joined Umbrella from her previous career in the hospitality industry.  She initially worked purely in Umbrella contracts/compliance, but has since joined the Welcome team and is busy working with ensuring a smooth induction for new customers.

Joanne Jackson
Senior Formations Manager

Jo joined the company in 2010 starting as an Account Manager, however quickly progressed into the role of Customer Service Manager.  After a maternity break, she has returned to the business as the Company Formations Manager.  She is responsible for the team that set up our Limited Company Contractors, and making sure there is a smooth transition over to our team of Accountants.  Jo has over 20 years experience within the Customer Service industry.

In her spare time Jo enjoys spending quality time with her family, and watching/participating in a variety of different sports.

Sian has worked as a contractor Accountant for over 2 years, looking after clients from the incorporation of their own limited companies right up to the closure.

Having just over 10 years’ experience within the customer service industry, Sian is invested in the customer and specialises with limited companies within their first few months of trading.

Outside work, Sian is a keep fit fanatic and a regular runner.

Sarah joined the company in 2013 as an Account Manager. She quickly progressed to a Senior account manager then onto a team leader and is now our Customer Services Manager. Sarah has got over 10 years’ experience within the customer service and financial services industry.  Sarah is a very valuable and productive member of the Customer Services team.

Adam joined Umbrella as an Account Manager and has since been promoted to a senior account manager. Having worked for the previous 5 years for Marks and Spencer’s.  He went up through the hierarchy to finish up leading on complaint handling for their furniture division. In Adam’s spare time he enjoying keeping fit and cycling.

Stephanie joined umbrella in August 2015 as an Account Manager and has since been promoted to Senior Account Manager. She studied business management at university and has 9 years of customer service experience. 

Luke Harrison
Account Manager

Luke Joined Umbrella in October 2016 as an Account Manager and has quickly become an integral part of the Customer services team. He studied Business Management at the University of Essex. Luke has a keen interest in sports and gaming in his spare time.
