Government survey into ‘Pay Between Assignments’
The Government have issued the results of a survey into ‘Pay Between Assignments’ (PBA) with is often known as the ‘Swedish Derogation’.
The Derogation of making pay between assignments allows agency workers to fall outside the scope of The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR). The reason being they gain the rights of an employee and are not therefore an agency worker.
AWR was introduced to ensure Agency Workers received at least the same pay and treatment as permanent members of staff working at the same client after completion of a 12 week period.
