Triple congratulations are due to Adam Connell.  Not only did he make history in November by becoming the first to win Umbrella’s prestigious Employee of the Month award twice, but he also picked up the company’s annual Customer Relationship Excellence award, and is celebrating promotion to Senior Account Manager!

All good things come in threes!

Well done Adam!  Well deserved!

Tomorrow Umbrella.co.uk staff will be observing a two minute silence for Remembrance Day. We will be turning our phone systems to answering service for approximately 8 minutes from 10.55am. Thank you for your support and normal service will resume immediately after.

It was at this time, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 that World War I formally ended. It's a chance for us all to remember the sacrifices made by the armed forces and civilians, in times of war, both in the past and present.

Lucy qualified as a chartered, certified accountant in 2011, and was most recently admitted into Fellowship by the ACCA. She has been working with both small and medium sized businesses and individuals for the past 8 years, providing accountancy services ranging from day to day book keeping to insolvency. She enjoys looking at all commercial aspects of a business and helping assist it to grow and flourish. Lucy is a self confessed foodie who enjoys nothing more than visiting a good eatery with family and friends.

We are delighted to announce that Daniel Moss has won the Practice Excellence Awards for the many new initiatives he helped implement at Umbrella Accountants.

Up against some stiff competition, Daniel won the award as a result of his constant commitment to innovation and his work on our online Self-Assessment Tax Return completion pack.

The Practice Excellence Awards judges agreed with our submission that Daniel is “a model technology-led accountant, making sure he ensures compliance while embracing new ideas and technology”

Allison Gallagher wins Umbrella.co.uk Employee of the Year 2016

After the board of directors of the group had finished voting Allison emerged as the clear winner for the prestigious award. Her Job Title of Finance Manager does little to describe the amount of and variety of work that Allison manages to take on during any particular week.

Operations Director Neil Armitage said “She has been with the company for 7 years and knows the systems and the people inside out. There’s certainly not a single day goes past without most of us seeking out Allison’s advice on any number of matters from staff payroll to insurance through to HR. She is a very deserving recipient of the award and the board are pleased to be able to recognise her contribution to our success”

Congratulations to Mark Hancock, Marketing Executive, who won Employee of the Month for October. Mark is a marketing graduate who joined us in May having spent 6 months working in Los Angeles as a design intern for a large art gallery. Mark has consistently impressed everyone with his enthusiasm, design skills and ability to multi task across all areas of marketing. Well done Mark!

Take a look at the amazing effort put in by the Umbrella.co.uk team towards the Halloween office decorations, spooky fancy dress costumes and terribly tasty cakes.
